The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

A Look Inside
I have been designing for over 15 years and I have loved every minute of it. Although I create a variety of visual items from logos to flyers, my passion has always been children's products. From the whimsical imagery to the vibrant colors, nothing beats a fun, childish design. I would describe my style as clean, modern and simple. Less is more!

I have been creative my whole life. When I was a child, I enjoyed creating board games, building clubhouses out of whatever material I could find, drawing, coloring and painting. I would find big rocks around my yard, paint them, and sell them to neighborhood kids. Once I built an art studio out of 2x4s and blankets in my backyard. Then, I invited my friends over to check out my work hung with push pins on one of the blanket walls. Then, I rented crayons, markers and paints for them to create their own masterpieces to hang on the remaining walls. I would use the profits to buy them all ice cream from the ice cream truck.

I love creating now as much as I did then! When my first niece was born I wanted to create something special just for her. I wrote I Wish I Were A Bear. I prayed that she would have an imagination greater than mine, so I built a character that would be silly to most but perfect for my imaginative princess. I am proud to say her imagination runs wild. She is currently doing a "project" as I type this.
Once my grandson was born, I wanted him to have a book as well. But this time, I waited to see his personality to write a book that fits his personality. He makes his own rules. He is definitely the toddler who has to see for himself. It wasn't hard to find a direction for FUNder Wonderland. Just like his character, the real Amani is sweet as candy and makes the proper adjustments after finding out that his way may not be the best way every time.

My latest book, Caia's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Yummy Veggie Surprise, was written for my youngest niece. If she could get away with it, she would probably eat candy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She's the pickiest eater of the three. But she likes broccoli! A win is a win.
